VIDEO: 'Bullying Trashes Kids' Souls'
The mission of Peace Maker Foundation is to give schools tools to stop violence. Our goal is for every school to have the resources it needs to teach kids how to resolve conflicts and for schools to be a safe place where kids can learn and reach their potential.
MAKE A 30-SECOND DONATION
Peace Maker is a federated group representing school violence prevention programs throughout Minnesota. We are a vehicle that people, companies, foundations, governmental units, and other interested organizations can use to strengthen school violence prevention efforts in their area.

Do you know an employer that may allow its employees to make payroll-deducted contributions to our partner schools? We operate similar to the United Way, Community Health Charities and the Minnesota Environmental Fund.
The difference? Under our umbrella are 28 Minnesota K–12 schools that donors can designate gifts to, rather than social service, health or environmental agencies.

Fostering an Atmosphere of Respect for Students
With the help of Peace Maker Foundation, Washburn High School in Minneapolis is able to facilitate Peace Circles for all 9th grade students.
The goal of these circles is to explore topics like personal values, identity, and perceptions and assumptions about others.
For the final circle meeting of the year, students design a Peace Journal for another student. At a circle closing ceremony, students present those journals and say kind words about the recipient. Through this exercise, each student receives a token from the Peace Circle as a reminder to carry the respect they have for themselves and others into other areas of their lives.
