You Are Helping Bus Drivers To Join The Effort To Stop Bullying

PeaceMaker Minnesota provided a two hour
interactive training for fifteen bus drivers in the Sartell
– St. Stephen School District in early November.
The training was designed by the National Center on
Safe Supportive Learning Environments and covers:
  •  The definition of bullying
  •      What bullying looks like
  •  How to prevent it
  •  How to address it
  •  How to report it
Comments received on the training evaluations
include:
  • Used great examples throughout the presentation.
  • Well informed on what we can and can’t do.
  • Glad we broke into groups instead of it just PowerPoint the whole time.
  • Got feedback from other drivers.
  • Enlightening. Informational. Discussions were good.
  • Opens your eyes to the problems and how to address.
No one wants to see a child get on a bus where he or
she is going to be put down, humiliated or assaulted.
We are grateful to the drivers for their interest in the
training and thankful to you for making it possible.
