Mandy Grunklee, Ambassadors for Respect Coordinator
Mandy’s career in peacemaking began at a therapeutic preschool where she supported families and children at risk of abuse, as an early childhood specialist. There she discovered her passion for eradicating violence and became familiar with the barriers to peace that our communities face. She went on to spend a decade working as a victim advocate for survivors of violence; advocating for resources and justice, as well as helping survivors build support systems to maintain safety and peace in their lives.
In early 2020, Mandy joined the PeaceMaker Minnesota team as Coordinator for the Ambassadors for Respect Program. She was drawn to the focus on proactivity in peacemaking, and the opportunity to participate in violence prevention efforts in schools and in the greater community.
In 2022, Mandy was hired in an additional role at PeaceMaker Minnesota: Peace Guide (Peace Guide Services), and serves Progeny Academy in Brooklyn Center.
Mandy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Saint Olaf College.
When she's not working, you will probably find Mandy either reading a novel, hiking with her family, sewing clothes, playing board games with her kids, or eating chocolate.
